Sweet Cornbread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Preparation:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Lightly grease or spray a 9 inch round cake pan
  • In a large bowl, add all the dry ingredients (cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt).
  • Add all the wet ingredients (milk, egg, and vegetable oil) and mix until well combined.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
