Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 Egg
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Lightly grease or spray a 9 inch round cake pan
- In a large bowl, add all the dry ingredients (cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt).
- Add all the wet ingredients (milk, egg, and vegetable oil) and mix until well combined.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
